With the global demand for protein set to rise by 135% by 2050 according to FAO estimates, increasingly innovative ways are needed to satisfy this need whilst ensuring that concerns relating to sustainability are met. This award is looking not only for new protein sources but also ways that existing protein types are used in innovative ways to satisfy dietary needs and produce products that excite and satisfy consumer demand.
