IFE Manufacturing launches Startup Lab for emerging businesses in 2027

IFE Manufacturing, part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week, has announced the launch of the Startup Lab, a new dedicated section giving emerging businesses a platform to showcase their ideas to leading decisionmakers across the food and drink manufacturing sector. 

Making its debut when the event returns to Excel London on 5-7 April 2027, the Startup Lab will welcome businesses that have been trading for five years or less. The section will showcase innovation across supply chain solutions and technology. 

Created as a launchpad for growth, the Startup Lab will enable participating businesses to raise their profile, demonstrate their products and solutions, gather valuable industry feedback and build relationships with potential customers and partners. 

Among the first businesses confirmed for the new section is KluraLabs, a UK-based material science innovator developing technology that transforms everyday food packaging into an active defence against bacteria and mould. Its solution is designed to extend shelf life, reduce food waste and decrease the need for preservatives. 

Positioned at the heart of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week and adjacent to IFE, the new section will also give participating startups access to food and drink brands, manufacturers and suppliers looking for solutions that can strengthen their products and operations.
