Ingredients Table standout feature at IFE Manufacturing 2026

The Ingredients Table made a strong debut at IFE Manufacturing 2026, part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week, bringing together a curated selection of ingredient suppliers and product innovators in a feature designed to encourage discovery, conversation and sampling. Positioned at the heart of the show floor, the activation succeeded in creating a focal point for manufacturers and brand owners looking for the next standout ingredient, flavour or formulation opportunity.

“The launch of the Ingredients Table exceeded expectations and quickly became one of the standout feature areas within IFE Manufacturing 2026,” said Federico Dellafiore, Event Director for IFE Manufacturing, part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week. “We wanted to create a space where ingredient innovation could be discovered in a highly accessible and engaging way, and the response from both exhibitors and visitors showed there is a real appetite for that kind of focused platform. From flavour innovation and functional ingredients to global sourcing and product differentiation, the feature captured many of the trends currently shaping the future of food and drink manufacturing.”

The breadth of exhibitors reflected the increasingly global and cross-category nature of ingredient innovation. Suppliers including FGS Ingredients, Gerald McDonald Group and Sphere International showcased the diversity of sourcing and ingredient expertise now shaping food and drink product development, while specialist businesses such as Vanilla Etc Ltd highlighted continued demand for premium flavour ingredients with provenance and craft credentials.

A notable strength of the Ingredients Table was its balance between functionality and flavour-led inspiration. Plant-based and alternative protein innovation featured prominently through companies such as ATURA Proteins, reflecting continued industry interest in protein diversification and ingredient functionality. At the same time, exhibitors including Barnes Williams / The Chilli Doctor and Baba Sidi Herbs demonstrated the growing importance of bold flavour profiles, spice and culinary authenticity in NPD pipelines.

International sourcing also played a significant role in the feature. Ingredients and suppliers from across Europe, North Africa and Asia underlined how manufacturers are increasingly looking globally for differentiation, resilience and new consumer appeal. Angel Yeast Co., Ltd brought insight into fermentation and bakery-related innovation, while Coöperatie Hoogstraten CV — winner of the 2026 Ingredients Table competition — showcased its YOOM Délice tomatoes, recognised for their distinctive appearance, flavour profile and consumer appeal.

What worked particularly well was the accessibility of the format. Rather than requiring buyers to navigate the wider show floor to identify ingredient trends, the Ingredients Table created a concentrated hub of innovation where attendees could compare products, speak directly with suppliers and quickly identify commercially relevant opportunities. The feature also reinforced IFE Manufacturing’s role as a destination not just for processing and packaging solutions, but for upstream product development inspiration.

For a first-year feature, the Ingredients Table felt commercially relevant and well aligned with current market priorities, from flavour exploration and premiumisation to functionality, provenance and ingredient-led storytelling. With strong exhibitor variety and clear buyer engagement, it has the potential to become a valuable fixture within IFE Manufacturing in the years ahead.
