Prunes
We import prunes from Chile and France, covering approximately 115 km² of plum orchards. The UK receives a new crop around May.
Chile, particularly in Valparaiso and Santiago, is our primary source of conventional prunes.
The main risk for this crop is poor weather conditions that pose a threat at any point in the growing process.
The grades we currently offer are
- Chilean Ashlock pitted prunes (various sizes)
- French un-pitted prunes
- Elliot pitted prunes
