Raisins
Our primary sources for raisins are Turkey, the USA (California), South Africa, and Chile. In the UK, a significant portion of raisins comes from the Thompson Seedless grape variety, harvested and dried to create raisins. The harvest season for Turkish raisins, mainly from the region around Izmir, is in late August and early September, with over 20 factories packing and exporting the fruit.
