After receiving his degree in Latin American Philosophy in the United States, Alan decided to move to Taiwan to further develop his Mandarin Chinese studies. During his time in Asia, Alan discovered his passion for reversing climate change and decided to use his career as a tool to make the greatest environmental impact available through food. This decision inspired him to move to Berlin to begin his career in alternative proteins at the ProVeg Incubator, the world's first accelerator specialized in this field. Following his work with more than 40 companies from 20 different countries, Alan decided to continue maximizing his impact by founding Libre Foods. Libre Foods is on a mission to place fungi at the forefront of food innovation, by leveraging fermentation technologies to develop the new generation of whole-muscle cut meat products.
