Ian Downes is the Founder & Director of Start Licensing. Start Licensing is an award-winning Licensing Agency & Consultancy whose clients include Nadiya Hussain, The Ashmolean Museum, Britvic Soft Drinks and Aardman. He has worked with a wide range of FMCG companies from start-up companies through to long-established companies. He has been involved in licensing deals for the likes of Britvic, Burton’s Biscuits and Unilever. These have included working with Brand of Brothers to develop a range of Britvic ice lollies through to developing a Jammie Dodgers celebration cake with Finsbury Foods. In addition Ian has acted as a consultant to a broad range of organisations including The National Gallery, Rebellion Publishing and the Royal Mail. He also co-owns Brands Untapped – a website and editorial hub for the world of brand licensing.
