Jayne Paramor
Having commenced her career as a ‘techie’, delivering analytical market research tools and services to the consumer packaged goods industry in Australia, Europe and Latin America, Jayne worked with some of the world’s largest retailers and manufacturers across a diverse range of areas - from new product development to category management, loyalty programmes to customer insights, through to strategic store design. Through this, she developed deep insight into the packaged goods sector and an appreciation of the challenges presented by a shifting global shopper landscape, most recently characterised by a strong consumer appetite to eliminate plastics in packaging.
After a strange series of coincidences that resulted in a summer job working aboard an Antarctic expedition vessel, Jayne decided to make the professional leap to environmental sustainability. Working on a number of sustainability challenges over nearly two decades, her focus for the past 6 years has been plastic packaging, waste and pollution and the impact that it is having on the environment and the health of the oceans. Jayne’s FMCG experience provides a solid foundation over which to apply the sustainability lens, bringing the two sides together to support WRAP and the UK Plastics Pact network to deliver on the 2025 Targets.
