Kirsty is currently a Senior Lecturer in Food Science & Technology with responsibilities in the areas of research leadership, teaching, course development and administration. Kirsty is the Associate Research Group Leader (Agri-Food & Sustainability) within the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food & Health (NICHE), where she has developed an extensive research network, with internationally excellent research centers, and secured significant research income of ~£7.8M with a strong applied industrial focus. Her research expertise spans agri-food nutrition, new product development/reformulation, consumer innovation, vitamin D requirements for health, consumer food choice, nutrition and metabolic health.
