Mhairi Forbes
Having spent 25 years in the food industry across retail and manufacturing, Mhairi has broad experience in dealing with complex products and their application in both chilled and ambient areas. She is currently the Senior Technical Manager at Marks and Spencer responsible for food safety, quality, legality and integrity across bakery, grocery and non-food categories. During her 8 years in retail she has worked closely with suppliers to develop market leading innovation in both chilled and ambient areas of the business. Prior to retail, Mhairi worked in manufacturing and a significant area of her experience was in the chilled protein industry where adding value through ingredient and processing innovation was key. She is also an expert in leading on projects from farm to fork, using her extensive experience in raw materials and manufacturing.
