IFE Manufacturing, the ultimate business event for food & drink product development, has announced the launch of a new dedicated Food Tech section at its 2026 edition, taking place on 30 March - 01 April.

The move reflects the rapid growth of the global food technology market and the increasing role of innovation in shaping the future of food and drink manufacturing.

According to Grand View Research, the global food technology market is projected to reach USD 354.94 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 9.9% from 2023–2030. In the UK alone, the food tech market is valued at USD 6.76 billion in 2024 and is forecast to expand to USD 18.31 billion by 2033, with an annual growth rate of 11.7% (IMARC Group).

Demand for sustainable, digital and resilient supply chain solutions continues to accelerate, with key drivers including alternative proteins, automation and robotics, sustainable packaging, and digital traceability technologies.

The new section at IFE Manufacturing will showcase the full spectrum of food tech innovation, from automation and robotics to smart packaging, alternative proteins, and supply chain traceability. Alongside sister event IFE, it provides a platform for manufacturers and suppliers to connect with thousands of verified trade visitors and position their businesses at the forefront of market change.

Federico Dellafiore, Event Manager for IFE Manufacturing, comments: “Food tech is central to how the industry is responding to challenges around sustainability, supply chain resilience and consumer demand. Launching a dedicated section at IFE Manufacturing allows us to bring together pioneering suppliers with buyers who are actively seeking the latest solutions to transform their operations. We are excited to create a space where the future of food production can be championed and and showcased, helping the industry to connect, collaborate and accelerate progress in this rapidly evolving sector.”

The event is supported by leading organisations including the Insitute of Food Science & Technology, BCMPA, the Food & Drink Federation and Campden BRI, and features more than 150 exhibitors across six sections, a comprehensive seminar programme on the Trends & Innovation Platform, and the IFE Manufacturing Ingredients Awards in association with the IFST.

The new Food Tech section will debut at IFE Manufacturing from 30 March – 01 April 2026 at Excel London. IFE Manufacturing takes place alongside IFE, The Pub Show, Hospitality Tech360, HRC and International Salon Culinaire as part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week.
