Sustainability is becoming as important as ever, and at IFE Manufacturing, we are committed to responsible environmental operations and event planning and as such commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and waste at the event. We are delighted to be working with the venue, contractors, and wonderful charity partners, City Harvest and Creating Nature's Corridors, as part of our journey to becoming more eco-conscious. The organisers, Montgomery Group, also have a Net Zero Carbon Pledge - click here to find out more.
City Harvest
City Harvest is a surplus food redistribution charity providing a sustainable solution for London by rescuing food, supporting people, and protecting the planet. They redirect surplus produce to more than 350 charities, food banks, schools, and community groups across every London borough, helping to feed the growing number of people experiencing food poverty. We are proud to partner with City Harvest by donating surplus food & drink from our events, ensuring minimal waste. Our team also regularly volunteers at their warehouse, helping prepare food deliveries for the communities they support.
Food Donation
At Food Drink & Hospitality Week 2025, City Harvest and Montgomery employees collected 5.5 tonnes of surplus food and drink samples from exhibitors. This equates to 13,575 meals and 14.7 tonnes of GHG emissions prevented. Our partnership with City Harvest has allowed food companies to minimise waste in a sustainable way whilst supporting 350 food bank charity partners around London.
Better Stands
We are supporting the Better Stands initiative, which aims to unite and encourage exhibitors and contractors to move away from single use disposable stands, in favour of reusable structures. For more information, please visit https://betterstands.org/
At Food, Drink & Hospitality Week, we will be auditing all space-only stand structures and awarding each a bronze, silver, or gold rating based on the environmental impact of its build. Our long-term goal is to eliminate disposable stands entirely, ensuring our exhibitions are moving towards being fully sustainable.
Excel London
Excel were certified carbon neutral in 2022 – the first venue in the UK to achieve this. They also precure 100% renewable energy and send zero waste to landfill. The have pledged to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030 and become net zero by 2050. For more information on Excels sustainability credentials, please click here
TRACE
We are committed to mapping and reducing our carbon footprint across all Montgomery Shows. We are working with TRACE by isla, a collaborative workspace to estimate, measure and report the carbon impact our events. For more information please click here.
Sustainability Policies
We produced a Sustainability & Waste Policy which is circulated with exhibitors more than 4 months out from the event to allow them to plan accordingly.
Our Environmental Sustainability Policy also outlines Montgomery Group's commitment to reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions and reducing our waste footprint.
